Institutional Partnerships & Sponsorship Manager Ignatian Solidarity Network | Part-Time (15-20 hours / non-exempt)

Position Summary The Institutional Partnerships & Sponsorship Manager develops and manages organizational partnerships that support the Ignatian Solidarity Network’s programs and events. This role focuses on cultivating institutional relationships, coordinating event sponsorships and exhibitors, and managing the organization’s institutional membership program.

Working closely with the Director of Advancement, this position ensures that institutional partners—including Catholic organizations, schools, universities, religious communities, and mission-aligned organizations—experience meaningful engagement with ISN while supporting the financial sustainability of key programs.

This role collaborates closely with the Director of Communications, the Director for Integrated Marketing and Digital Operations, and advancement consultants to ensure effective partner recognition, data management, and coordination of event sponsorship logistics.

About the Ignatian Solidarity Network Ignatian Solidarity Network is a national social justice network inspired by the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Founded in 2004, ISN is a lay-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working in partnership with Jesuit universities, high schools, and parishes, along with many other Catholic institutions and social justice partners across the United States.

With more than 100 member institutions, including high schools, colleges and universities, Catholic parishes, and other faith-based organizations, across 34 states, ISN engages students, educators, parishioners, alumni, and advocates through in‑person programs, digital resources, and national gatherings, including the Ignatian Family Teach‑In for Justice, the largest Catholic social justice conference in the United States.

Primary Responsibilities Institutional Membership Program

Manage the annual institutional membership program, including outreach to existing member institutions and recruitment of new members.

Coordinate institutional membership communications and stewardship throughout the year.

Track institutional membership participation and revenue in collaboration with the advancement team.

Maintain relationships with member institutions across the Ignatian and Catholic social justice network.

Sponsorship Development

Recruit sponsors for ISN programs and initiatives, including the Ignatian Family Teach‑In for Justice, high school leadership programming, Education for Justice, and Ignite: A Celebration of Justice.

Work with the Director of Advancement to identify and cultivate new sponsorship prospects.

Coordinate sponsor agreements and sponsorship package fulfillment.

In partnership with development and program staff, engage in ongoing evaluation of program sponsorship opportunities

Exhibitor and Event Partnership Coordination

Recruit and coordinate exhibitors for the Ignatian Family Teach‑In for Justice and other ISN programs.

Serve as the primary liaison for exhibitors and event partners.

Coordinate exhibitor communications and logistics in collaboration with ISN staff.

Institutional Partner Stewardship

Maintain regular communication with sponsors, exhibitors, and institutional partners.

Provide stewardship updates and engagement opportunities throughout the year.

Coordinate post‑event follow‑up with partners.

Partnership Data and Revenue Tracking

Maintain accurate records of institutional partners, sponsors, and exhibitors within ISN’s CRM.

Track sponsorship commitments and partnership revenue.

Provide regular updates to the Director of Advancement on partnership progress.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit partnerships, sponsorship development, fundraising, or event‑based revenue generation.

Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience cultivating relationships with organizational partners, sponsors, or institutional stakeholders.

Experience coordinating sponsorship or partnership programs related to events, conferences, or nonprofit initiatives.

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and relationships simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional partnerships.

Ability to work independently while coordinating regularly with organizational leadership.

Strong attention to detail and ability to track partnership commitments, benefits, and revenue.

Appreciation for ISN’s mission is grounded in Catholic Social Teaching and Ignatian spirituality.

Familiarity with the Catholic Church and the Ignatian/Jesuit institutional network.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience securing conference/event sponsorships, advertising partnerships, or exhibitor participation.

Experience working with Catholic institutions, Jesuit schools, universities, or mission-driven organizations.

Experience working with CRM systems or sponsorship tracking tools.

Experience collaborating with marketing or communications teams to coordinate partner recognition and materials.

Location The ISN national office is located in Cleveland, Ohio, in the Northeast Ohio region. Candidates based in Northeast Ohio are preferred, but remote candidates will be considered.

Physical Requirements Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other office locations and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Travel This position requires limited travel to support key Ignatian Solidarity Network programs and institutional partnership opportunities.

The Institutional Partnerships & Sponsorship Manager will be expected to support sponsorship and exhibitor engagement related to the Ignatian Family Teach‑In for Justice, ISN’s annual national gathering each fall, and may also assist with partner engagement connected to Ignite: A Celebration of Justice, ISN’s annual spring fundraising event.

Additional travel may be identified based on organizational needs and the staff member’s capacity.

Compensation & Benefits This is a part‑time position (15‑20 hours per week, depending on the season). Seasonal schedule flexibility (ie. summer months, etc.). The starting hourly wage is $30 / hour.
