Full-Time Dog Walker – Monday–Friday 9AM–6PM

Four-Legged Fun Zone, Everett, WA, United States

Let’s talk about cake for a moment.

Working with dogs is the frosting—the part everyone gets excited about, but it's only a small part of the job.

The cake is the core of the job: structure, reliability, and physical work that keep everything running. It’s a more substantial kind of sweetness—different from the frosting, but deeply rewarding.

The cake looks like this:

Starting your route on time every day — dogs can’t reschedule their walks

Driving between client homes — your car is your office

Walking 10–15 miles a day — in all weather conditions

Showing up consistently — even when the weather is miserable

Working independently — no one is looking over your shoulder during the day

Being accountable to human clients first — their homes, schedules, and expectations come first

That’s the cake—about 95% of the job: walking in the rain, picking up poop, getting splashed while drying off, driving on snowy roads. The frosting is cuddling the dog after everything else is done—about 5%.

What the day looks like

9:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Dog walking route visiting client homes

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Unpaid lunch break

3:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Light facility support at our daycare (monitoring, cleaning, and maintaining a calm environment)
