
Portfolio Manager

Primary Purpose of Job
Manage commercial credit relationships in support of the assigned loan officer. Work with assigned loan officer on new loan requests, renewals, modifications, collection of financial documents.
Essential Functions and Performance Areas
Manage commercial relationships;
Act as point of contact for borrowers;
Prepare loan presentations for new requests, modifications and renewals;
Monitor construction loans in the portfolio;
Work with loan coordinators on loan closings;
Work effectively with coordinators, credit department, loan operations;
Present credit packages to loan committee;
Work with loan officer to grow the loan portfolio;
Analyze financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and recommend loan structures;
Make recommendations to management regarding product improvement or changes;
Refer depository and other business lines from customer base to the Branch Retail Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent organizational, managerial and interpersonal skills;
Strong analytical skills; and,
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education, Training and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance. (Credit/loan experience may be considered in lieu thereof); and,
Two to five years’ experience with lending or commensurate experience.
