Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Customer Service & Sales Agent to support both insurance servicing and self‑storage leasing operations. This role blends customer service excellence, sales performance, policy and contract processing, payment handling, and light operational responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, personable, sales‑minded, and committed to delivering exceptional customer experience while supporting company growth and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service, Support & Account Management

Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, online platforms, and in person.

Process new insurance applications, policy updates, renewals, cancellations, and endorsements.

Provide clear, accurate information regarding insurance policies, coverage options, rental agreements, pricing, and company services.

Deliver exceptional service to both new and existing customers/tenants.

Close new insurance policies and storage rentals.

Upsell additional services such as insurance coverage, larger units, locks, or supplemental protection plans.

Cross‑sell relevant insurance products to meet customer needs.

Close and process rental contracts.

Maintain accurate customer and tenant records in CRM and property management systems.

Monitor storage unit availability and occupancy levels.

Resolve billing, coverage, claims, account, or rental concerns promptly and professionally.

Claims & Payment Processing

Assist customers in navigating the insurance claims process, providing updates and guidance.

Process payments (in person, by phone, and online).

Manage past‑due accounts and conduct collection outreach when necessary.

Ensure billing accuracy and proper documentation of transactions.

Compliance & Operational Excellence

Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance regulations, rental policies, and company standards.

Maintain confidentiality and ethical handling of customer information.

Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, products, and pricing updates.

Support general facility operations to ensure a clean, professional, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

Insurance license (Property & Casualty) preferred; must be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire, if not currently licensed.

Prior experience in customer service, sales, insurance, leasing, or a related field preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.

Proven ability to close sales and meet performance goals.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Comfortable managing accounts, payments, documentation, and follow‑up tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency with CRM systems, property management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
