Overview The Social Media & Communications Manager is responsible for Reel Hope’s external communications, social media channels, and broader marketing initiatives. The Social Media & Communications Manager plays a key role in increasing awareness of and engagement with Reel Hope’s mission through compelling storytelling and strategic communication.

Reporting The Social Media & Communications Manager reports to the Director of Advancement.

Compensation & Benefits

Part-time, salaried, or contracted based on candidate, exempt: $30,000

Work week: 20 hours/week, Monday-Friday

Location: Hybrid, Tues-Thurs in office with occasional flexibility for events

PTO: 1.5 weeks (60 hours) and paid holidays

Retirement: 3% matching simple IRA

Social Media

Manage and maintain social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIN.

Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (posts, stories, reels, etc.) aligned with brand voice.

Monitor social media trends, tools, and best practices to optimize performance.

Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and build community relationships.

Track and analyze social media and campaign performance.

Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and promotions.

Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for content creation and campaigns.

Help maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels.

Assist with event promotion, product launches, and other marketing initiatives.

Communications

Work with DOA to set strategy, tone, and pace of communications.

Manage email marketing efforts, including content drafting and list management.

Manage all external communication streams (mass texts, mailings, etc.).

Support creation of promotional event materials.

Support the production, publishing, and promotion of marketing videos.

Graphic design work.

Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Strong writing and storytelling ability.

Experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.

Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools).

Ability to think both creatively and strategically about content.

Experience in nonprofit, media, or mission-driven work is a plus.

Has managed growing social media channels.

Personal alignment with our core values and statement of faith.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with specific attention and care paid to navigating the field of Child Welfare.

Proficiency in Google Suite, monday.com (or comparable platform) and CRM platforms.

Personal connection to adoption and working with youth preferred.
