Overview
The National FFA Organization is seeking college students or recent college graduates pursuing degrees in journalism, agricultural communications, public relations, telecommunications, or a closely related field to share with the world the stories coming out of the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo, which runs from Oct. 21-24, 2026, in Indianapolis. Responsibilities
Tell stories in meaningful and impactful ways through produced video news segments and digital stories. Conduct live and recorded interviews in front of the camera, gather firsthand accounts of events, and organize material into cohesive, engaging stories. Package stories for video streaming and online publication. Conceptualize and create one feature story per day, formatted for TV broadcast and online publication. A camera operator will assist with capturing interviews, and an editor will assemble the video. Develop and pursue organic story ideas using networking skills, focusing on the convention experience and members’ lives. Requirements / Qualifications
Strong professionalism and comfort in front of a camera, ability to find and write stories on deadline, and skill in drafting interview questions and conducting live interviews. Experience or knowledge in journalism, communications, or related fields; prior experience with the industry is a bonus but not required. Ability to navigate the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, including extended periods of walking, standing, and carrying equipment. Eligibility to receive college credit (internship may be eligible for college credit; please consult with your school’s advisor). Portfolio of work (resume, cover letter, and portfolio submission required to apply). Logistics & Benefits
Interns will gain access to one of the largest conventions in the country and experience a fast-paced newsroom. Travel expenses (airfare and hotel) covered by the National FFA; meals provided from arrival on Monday through Saturday. $500 project stipend.
