Customer Service Representative – Miami, FL (Job ID: 143925)

Overview As the first and last person our clients see, your role as Customer Service Representative is central to our daily operations. The position serves as the primary point of contact for patients at a state‑of‑the‑art physical therapy facility, helping patients navigate scheduling, billing, and communication with clinicians.

Responsibilities

Handle patient scheduling and appointments across multiple phone lines.

Gather new patient data and track all patient referrals.

Disseminate information to patients and act as a liaison between patients and physicians.

Send and keep a log of all reports sent to doctors.

Collect payments from patients and perform insurance verification.

Collect, open, and distribute mail to proper areas/people.

Send benefits paperwork to billing companies.

Handle all scheduling and ensuing communication.

Answer phones and address any questions from potential or current patients.

Schedule patients; coordinate evaluations, re‑evaluations, appointment reminders, and cancellations.

Collect new patient intake information and track all clinic referrals.

Fax reports to physicians and keep a log of incoming reports.

Verify insurance and track insurance‑covered visits; take copayments.

Check mail and keep track of Explanation of Benefits sent from mail and fax to billing company.

Communicate with the office manager and clinicians about scheduling and patient arrival.

Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Excellent communicator, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask.

Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and empathy for patients in pain.

High school graduate or GED certificate.

Proficient in handling details, communicating, and multitasking.

Great demeanor, strong integrity, and compassion.
