Position
Supporting Documentation Specialist – Dayton, OH – Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm
Responsibilities
Obtains supporting documentation as required for products and services provided
Obtains prior authorizations required by insurance companies for products and services
Obtains physician orders for products and services
Complies with insurance benefits and completes data entry requirements
Maintains all patient status information on an ongoing basis
Maintains database of physician orders
Collaborates with clinics and staff to gather needed information
Maintains compliance with HIPAA and PHS requirements regarding internal and external electronic medical record (EHR) access
On‑call duties/rotation may be required based on business need
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Exceptionally organized, multitasking, problem‑solving, and communication skills; strong keyboard skills; high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality
Durable medical equipment (DME) intake/admissions experience preferred
Experience in Brightree EHR a plus
Experience in obtaining title 19 with health care providers
Company Pediatric Home Service is a pediatric home health agency that has provided high‑quality DME and nursing services to medically fragile children since 1990. The majority of clients served are age birth through 21 years old and may use trach, ventilator, or g‑tube technologies.
