Direct Hire Shift:
1st Shift Salary:
Up to $85,000, depending on experience Travel:
10 to 15 percent local travel required, with mileage reimbursement
Position Overview Manage structural steel fabrication and erection projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Review and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to define project scope and requirements
Coordinate with fabrication shops, detailers, field crews, and general contractors to support efficient execution
Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and adjusting as needed to meet deadlines
Oversee procurement and tracking of materials and components to support timelines
Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and provide accurate forecasting
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and internal safety policies
Conduct site visits, lead meetings, and resolve field-related issues such as fit-up and sequencing
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
Identify and resolve fabrication, scheduling, and installation challenges
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing structural steel fabrication or erection projects
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
Knowledge of structural steel processes and industry standards such as AWS and AISC
Experience coordinating with fabrication teams, field crews, and subcontractors
Strong organizational and project management skills
Experience managing budgets and project costs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling tools
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
Understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices
Experience with Tekla Structures or Tekla PowerFab is a plus
