
Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

We are supporting a mid-sized, publicly traded manufacturing company in the western suburbs of Chicago on a Director of Corporate FP&A search. This role is open due to internal promotion and will lead global consolidated budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, oversee capital planning, and provide analytics that support executive leadership and public company reporting. The position will also have indirect finance oversight of business unit Controllers from a functional standpoint and manage a small corporate FP&A team, while remaining hands‑on with analysis and financial modeling.

Key Responsibilities
Lead global consolidated budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning
Own corporate FP&A reporting that supports executive leadership and public filings
Support capital planning, investment analysis, and enterprise‑wide financial modeling
Partner with business unit finance leaders and provide functional oversight to Controllers
Manage and develop a lean corporate FP&A team
Deliver clear, executive‑level financial insights and recommendations
Build and maintain robust three‑statement financial models
What someone will bring
8+ years of progressive finance experience
Corporate FP&A experience within mid‑large organization
Advanced three‑statement financial modeling capability
Manufacturing industry experience required
Understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing cost structures preferred
Proven people manager who is also willing to operate in the details
Strong executive presence with the ability to present to and influence senior leadership
CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required

Base salary range: $170,000 – $215,000
Annual bonus: 25% target
