Air & Ocean Import Coordinator | Houston, Texas | Salary: Up to $65,000
This role is responsible for coordinating air and ocean import freight movements, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage international air and ocean import shipments from origin through final delivery
Prepare and review import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and arrival notices
Ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations and international shipping requirements
Communicate with carriers, overseas agents, customs brokers, and customers to ensure timely cargo movement
Arrange bookings with airlines and ocean carriers, coordinating pickup and delivery schedules
Track and trace shipments, providing updates and resolving delays, customs holds, or clearance issues
Work closely with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of shipments
Maintain accurate records in the company’s transportation management system (TMS)
Handle customer inquiries and provide high‑quality service and solutions
Coordinate with internal departments such as operations, accounting, and sales
Qualifications & Experience
2+ years of experience in freight forwarding, specifically in air and/or ocean imports
Strong knowledge of import documentation and international shipping procedures
Experience with U.S. import regulations and customs clearance processes preferred
Familiarity with Incoterms and global trade practices
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
