Job Description
The Media Designer II (Video, Print & Social) will produce highly engaging video, print, and social‑media designs, creating top‑shelf graphics, motion graphics, kinetic typography, and visual assets across digital, print, and experiential platforms to enhance brand visibility and drive business growth. The role collaborates with studio production teams, clients, executives, presenters, and technical staff to deliver impactful creative solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Use creativity and artistic vision to shape and drive graphic design strategy, collaborating with designers, producers, and technicians to produce digital, print, and video motion graphics.
Design, illustrate, and animate world‑class digital and print graphics, presentations, video motion graphics, 2D and 3D animations.
Uphold and refine brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints through design systems and scalable templates.
Create digital, print, and video assets including product imagery, slide decks, campaigns, packaging, and promotional materials.
Interface with executives and company leaders, translating complex topics into visual designs for events, offsites, and presentations.
Craft compelling visual narratives that translate strategic objectives into engaging, consumer‑centric storytelling.
Maintain a detailed library of content and assets.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve processes and social media best practices.
Communicate and collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels to transition from concept to final deliverable.
Assist other departments with live events, podcasts, and related projects.
Create storyboards and animatics to scope animation projects and communicate milestones.
Visualize data in marketing and editorial videos to make complex concepts compelling and understandable.
Explore emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to push creative boundaries.
Assist producers and management in establishing industry best‑practice workflows.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong conceptual thinker with keen eye for typography, composition, and color theory.
Skilled in group presentation and nuanced communication tailored for executives.
Experienced in translating complex topics from leaders into visual designs.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, DaVinci Resolve; Avid Pro Tools a plus.
Skilled at converting Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop designs to refined motion graphics.
Experienced with 3D programs such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Cinema 4D, Blender, or equivalent.
Experienced with rigging plugins such as Duik Bassel, Limber, Rubberhose or equivalent.
Advanced knowledge of video post‑production: editing, color‑correction, audio sweetening, motion graphics, animation, compositing, visual effects, and exporting.
Understanding of technical facets of video editing and color‑correction, including RAW/LOG footage, resolution, frame rates, pixel aspect ratios, encoders, bitrate, delivery formats, color space, LUTs, grading, motion tracking, compositing and round‑trip best practices.
Ability to export media to various distribution platforms with proper formats, audio mapping, and closed captions.
Knowledge of media organization, backup, and video engagement best practices.
Experience in compositing, motion tracking, matting, rotoscoping, chromakey, blue and green screen removal; digital environment projection and photogrammetry a plus.
Ability to create educational, training, product demo, UI, and explainer animations.
Experience
4+ years with an agency, in‑house team, or post‑production studio focused on videography, editing, motion graphics, or visual effects.
Previous experience producing and managing video, live production, and photoshoots.
Must have a portfolio of work.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting and working at a computer.
Ability to lift and transport audio equipment up to 60 lbs.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours.
Ability to travel up to 25% as required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Film/TV Production, Communications, Multimedia, or a related field.
Experience in lieu of education Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement; generally 1 year of experience for 1 year of education at the discretion of the hiring manager.
