
Healthcare Customer Service Representative

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join our growing team in White Plains. In this role, you will serve as a first point of contact for clients and members, handling a high volume of inbound calls related to healthcare benefits, pension plans, disability, and financial information. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build experience in a healthcare or call center environment.
Key Responsibilities
Handle 100-150 inbound calls per day in a fast‑paced call center environment
Respond to client and customer inquiries regarding healthcare plans, pension plans, disability benefits, and related information
Accurately document customer conversations and enter information into internal databases while on calls
Answer and route incoming calls using a high‑volume switchboard system
Deliver an exceptional level of customer service on every interaction
Follow approved scripts while maintaining an enthusiastic and professional tone
Multitask efficiently between calls, data entry, and clerical support
Provide additional administrative and clerical assistance as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Strong customer service skills with a professional phone presence
Experience in a call center or customer service environment (preferred)
Ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining accuracy and composure
Solid data entry and computer skills
Comfortable navigating multiple systems during live calls
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
Healthcare, medical, or benefits‑related customer service experience
Bilingual skills are a plus
Experience in healthcare or medical call centers
Familiarity with pension plans, disability benefits, or healthcare coverage
