Associate Multimedia Designer The Associate Multimedia Designer performs basic to routine multimedia, design and audio/visual duties used in the planning, creation and animation of adult education, explanation, and marketing materials. The role involves creating artwork and creative print, as well as web and digital media such as brochures, fliers, posters, illustrations, animation, videos, and websites. The Associate provides support to higher‑level media staff and performs related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Participate in designing and developing publications, including newsletters, flyers, brochures, visual displays, signs, advertisements, education materials, forms, logos, charts, maps, and other printed/graphic materials.

Estimate time, materials, and equipment required for each assigned project.

Design digital animation, PowerPoint presentations, and videos, including creating graphic images, animation, sound, and text into cohesive multimedia programs.

Conceptualize and outline a creative storyboard and utilize relevant techniques for video production and animation.

Ensure projects are consistent with the Court’s style and branding identity.

Assist in producing the final product by conceptualizing and creating the design needed, including color, style, shapes, and materials, as well as the pre‑ and post‑production requirements of print, freehand, digital, and web.

Organize and lay out the content of publications and provide editorial suggestions to improve and clarify the text.

Take, compose, retouch, and archive digital photographs; operate a video camera; direct, stage, ensure lighting, edit, and produce video productions.

Perform post‑production editing of digital audio and video media to create professional training and informational videos.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in marketing, arts design, graphic design, visual communications, computer graphics, business administration, or a closely related design field OR possession of a certificate of graphic design from an accredited or recognized professional institute.

Two (2) years of full‑time (or equivalent) professional experience in graphic and commercial arts, using freehand and computer‑generated imagery in the creation and pre‑ and post‑production of print, digital, and web media.

Experience working in a public agency is desirable.

A bachelor’s degree in a closely related design field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of required experience, with official transcripts provided for credit.
