Customer Service Representative – Mendota, IL
This is a full time, non-exempt position.
Position Summary You will be responsible for actively maintaining an ongoing relationship with customers and the ADM Commercial Team. You’ll have daily exposure to customers in a dynamic environment and will be responsible for managing many aspects of customer accounts, including order entry/scheduling, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and logistics management. Limited travel may be required.
Job Responsibilities
Work in a busy, customer service–oriented environment
Partner with the Commercial Team to maintain excellent relationships with customers
Interact with customers regarding markets and documentation needs
Enter and manage sales and purchase contracts
Process invoices and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable
Research and resolve customer issues
Effectively manage positive relationships with ADM Assets, ADM Technical Team and Shared Services
Cross‑train on all CSR responsibilities
Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
Produce settlements, checks and delivery sheets for customers/grain producers daily using grain accounting software system
Job Requirements
Willing to work harvest hours when required, including some weekends
Ability to multitask; must adapt and work consistently in a dynamic environment
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills used daily
High regard for accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent teamwork and collaboration; dedication to group goals and continual improvement
Excellent organizational skills
Efficient problem solver
Ability to make moderately complex decisions that impact all aspects of the business
Friendly and positive disposition
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Associate’s degree in accounting or business preferred, or at least 2 years of experience with accounting and customer service
Ability to learn web‑based and other computer applications as needed
Preference for a minimum of 2 years of customer‑service experience
Active growth of knowledge of customer business, grain marketing alternatives and market conditions
ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
Pay Base pay offered may vary depending on market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non‑exempt employees are also paid overtime for qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees are in an “at‑will” position and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (or any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $45,700.00 and $65,000.00.
