Program Overview The Giraffe Media Group Summer Internship is a highly selective, project-based program designed for analytically strong undergraduate students interested in business operations, marketing performance, and data-driven strategy.
Interns will work directly within the Business Development team in close coordination with SMS Operations, contributing to real-time campaign analysis, A/B testing, and competitive research. This is not a passive internship; participants will engage in the same workflows used by the team daily and will be expected to produce meaningful, actionable insights.
Over the course of approximately ten weeks, interns will progress through a structured program including onboarding, performance analysis, operational support, and a capstone project involving the build and testing of a live marketing flow.
The internship concludes with a formal presentation to leadership outlining findings, performance insights, and strategic recommendations.
Strategic Internship Focus Campaign Performance Analysis & Optimization Initiative Interns will analyze live and historical marketing flows to identify trends in performance, develop A/B testing strategies, and contribute to improving campaign efficiency and revenue outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Campaign Performance Analysis
Review performance data across active campaigns including messages, pre-landers, and offers
Analyze key KPIs such as CTR, CVR, RPS, and opt-out rates
Identify trends, performance drivers, and underperforming areas
Map marketing flows from message to conversion
A/B Testing & Optimization
Develop data-driven test hypotheses based on performance trends
Draft challenger messaging, pre-lander structures, and creative variations
Define test structure including success metrics and evaluation criteria
Support execution of A/B tests on live campaigns
Operations & Campaign Monitoring
Monitor campaign performance through vendor dashboards
Conduct routine performance checks and flag anomalies
Support data pulls and reporting for the Business Development team
Identify operational patterns and opportunities for improvement
Competitive & Vendor Research
Research vendors, partners, and competitors within the SMS marketing ecosystem
Analyze messaging strategies, offer structures, and market positioning
Build structured reports summarizing findings
Support partner evaluation and business development initiatives
Capstone Project Interns Will
Build a complete marketing flow (message → pre-lander → offer)
Launch and test the flow against a control campaign
Analyze performance results across key KPIs
Present findings and strategic recommendations to leadership
