About the Opportunity: The Associate Information Designer; Website Support at LINK partners with clients across diverse industries to transform complex ideas into clear, compelling visual narratives. This role manages and provides policy and content management direction for the client’s website. You will translate data and abstract concepts into engaging visual formats—including website management, prototypes, wireframes, infographics, charts, and diagrams—designed for effective communication across print and digital platforms.
Manages and provides policy and content management direction for command’s website; including approximately 80 content managers and 40 daughter sites across the globe. Creates engaging content for a wide range of audiences; including: Members of Congress, Department of Defense (DOD), industry stakeholders, general public as well as military and civilian personnel within the client’s enterprise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts in Communications, or a related field
4-5 years of experience in website design, web content development, graphic design, or a related role
Secret Clearance preferred
Experience supporting or contributing to website builds, updates, or redesigns (e.g., page layouts, content updates, usability improvements)
Strong expertise in information design, with a passion for creating clear, user-friendly digital experiences
Familiarity with web best practices (e.g., usability, accessibility, responsive design) and structuring content for the web
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint (e.g., building and maintaining pages, managing content, supporting site structure and navigation) preferred
Highly motivated to solve end-user challenges, meet stakeholder needs, and achieve business goals
Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Capable of meeting deadlines and adapting to changing requirements
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and able to lead clients and teams to clarity around requirements
Approaches work with optimism, openness to new ideas, and a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities:
Website Design & Content Management
Support the design, development, and maintenance of client websites
Manage and update website content, ensuring accuracy, usability, and alignment with client goals
Develop and implement page layouts, navigation structures, and content organization to improve user experience
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear, user-friendly web experiences
Apply web best practices, including accessibility (Section 508), usability, and responsive design
Monitor and identify opportunities to improve site performance, content clarity, and overall user engagement
Create engaging digital content for a range of audiences, including industry stakeholders, the general public, and military and civilian personnel
Translate complex information into clear, structured content and visuals optimized for web consumption
Collaborate effectively with internal and external teams, confidently working within complex environments
Prototype visually in real time to explore and refine ideas
Work iteratively, proactively seeking and incorporating feedback from partners and clients to continuously improve solutions
Creative Execution & Brand Stewardship
Apply brand guidelines to ensure consistency across web and digital experiences
Contribute to broader visual design needs (e.g., graphics, presentations) in support of web and content initiatives
Bring curiosity, creativity, and a collaborative mindset to all work
Work Schedule:
Full time, 40 hours per week
Some travel required to meet with prospects/clients, attend relevant events and conferences, and participate in LINK team events
Salary
We’re committed to offering competitive compensation. While the salary range for this position is $60,251-$70,251.
$100 monthly internet/cell phone stipend
