The Collections Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management and collection of past-due consumer and commercial loan accounts. This role focuses on early-stage through advanced delinquency, borrower outreach, documentation, and coordination with Loan Officers, Government Finance Originators, Credit Risk, and Legal Counsel to ensure timely resolution of delinquent accounts and compliance with bank policies and applicable regulations. We’re looking for someone with two to five years of experience in bank collections, loan servicing, consumer lending support, or credit administration and has working knowledge of loan servicing systems. The role requires professional communication with borrowers and collaboration with other bank departments, along with following established procedures and escalation paths. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Manage and collect past-due consumer and commercial loan accounts from early delinquency to advanced stages. Perform borrower outreach, documentation, and coordination with Loan Officers, Government Finance Originators, Credit Risk, and Legal Counsel. Ensure timely resolution of delinquent accounts in compliance with bank policies and applicable regulations. Follow established procedures and escalation paths; maintain accurate records and documentation. Communicate effectively and professionally with borrowers and internal teams. Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in bank collections, loan servicing, consumer lending support, or credit administration. Working knowledge of loan servicing systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle difficult conversations with borrowers. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $50,000–$70,000 per year, depending on experience. Employee benefits include 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off.
