Serve as a strategic legal partner to senior leadership and key stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of LIHTC and affordable housing initiatives Drive complex affordable housing transactions nationwide, providing end‑to‑end legal oversight from initial structuring through execution and closing Take primary responsibility for negotiating and drafting a broad range of transaction documents, including partnership and operating agreements, guaranties, financing arrangements, purchase rights, leases, and related agreements Conduct and manage legal due diligence reviews, advising on matters such as title, survey, zoning, condominium regimes, and environmental considerations Counsel the business on ongoing corporate and asset management matters, including restructurings, amendments, and modifications to existing LIHTC investments Support special initiatives and address ad hoc legal matters as business needs evolve MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual\'s status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. A successful Legal Counsel - Real Estate should have: A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to NY or CT Bar. 4+ years as a practicing attorney, handling large-scale affordable housing/LIHTC deals. Strong knowledge of real estate law and regulations, including contracts, leases, and property law. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. What\'s on Offer
Competitive annual salary ranging from $250,000 to $275,000 USD. Bonus. Comprehensive benefits package.
