Presales Consultant
Wise, Lincoln, NE, United States
Job Description
We are looking for a Pre‑sales Consultant to join our team in New York and play a crucial role in winning sales opportunities by solving our partner’s most complex problems. You’ll be a key contributor in the pre‑sales function within the North American region, helping achieve growth objectives while consulting closely with our product, sales, and delivery teams to design solutions that we can deliver efficiently and with quality.
As a Pre‑sales Consultant, your success will be driven by an ability to understand customer requirements, showcase the Wise Platform value proposition, and earn the trust of key decision‑makers.
You will apply your expertise and product knowledge to design intelligent and scalable payment solutions for our prospective partners. This will require you to work cross‑functionally to build strategies to successfully navigate complex sales cycles, deliver product demos, and lead compelling solution presentations. You should be equally comfortable in both a business and technical context, winning trust from both executive and engineering stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Present products and vision to executive and technical teams at fintechs and strategic enterprise partners and become their trusted advisor.
Accountable to drive revenue alongside the business development team, being a key stakeholder in the sales process from discovery and solution design through to implementation kickoff.
Utilize deep understanding of Wise Platform products and the payments domain to tailor solutions for partners, finding a match between our technology and their requirements.
Work on sales collateral, demos, proofs of concept, RFPs, and any other material to help get potential deals over the line.
Ensure the viability of solutions by testing and documenting an end‑to‑end solution.
Share customer feedback with the product teams in Wise Platform to drive roadmaps and create more opportunities for growth.
Opportunities
Scope and design payment partnerships with the world’s biggest fintechs and enterprises.
Help define the pre‑sales team vision and strategy as we scale it across the globe.
Act as the voice of our customers to influence roadmaps and feature prioritisation, continuously improving Wise Platform’s products and positioning in the market.
Travel to work with our teams and meet with prospects around the world.
Qualifications
2+ years experience in a pre‑sales or sales engineering role engaged in enterprise technology sales (preferably in fintech/payments).
Proven track record achieving commercial targets by leveraging consultative and solution‑based sales skills.
Customer‑first mindset, finding ways to leverage our products to solve customer problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Experience collaborating within or alongside complex enterprise customers, demonstrating a strong grasp of their challenges and needs.
Understanding of balancing customer‑centric thinking and experience communicating customer requirements to internal product teams.
Experience with REST APIs and payments, especially in the context of technical sales and solution design.
