Phenomics Product Owner
in Durham, to lead next‑generation phenotyping solutions. You'll translate breakthrough technologies into competitive advantage, shaping how we develop superior vegetable varieties for sustainable agriculture.
Accountabilities
Drive phenomics innovation strategy and technical roadmap aligned with breeding priorities, delivering competitive advantage
Lead end‑to‑end technology integration from proof‑of‑concept through operational deployment across international R&D sites
Serve as technical authority, evaluating emerging technologies in imaging, computer vision, and AI/ML for breeding applications
Partner with IT teams to architect cloud‑based platforms (AWS) and scalable data pipelines
Build external ecosystem through technology scouting, collaborative research, and intellectual property strategy
Qualifications Required
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Vision, or related field
Demonstrated hands‑on experience developing and deploying phenotyping solutions
Strong technical foundation in imaging technologies, computer vision, machine learning/AI, and image analysis
Proven track record translating business needs into deployed solutions with measurable impact
Experience leading collaborative projects with multiple stakeholders
Proficiency with Agile frameworks and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
Desired
Familiarity with seeds R&D, agricultural domain, or plant phenomics communities
Experience with digital agriculture platforms and open‑source phenomics tools
Background in matrix organizations across multi‑national teams
