
Customs Entry Writer

Prepare and submit customs entries via ABI in compliance with U.S. Customs regulations
Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
Review commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents for accuracy
Ensure proper valuation, duty calculation, and admissibility of goods
Coordinate with importers, carriers, freight forwarders, and government agencies
Respond to CBP requests, exams, and notices in a timely manner
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations (CBP, FDA, USDA, etc.)
Track shipments and ensure timely release and delivery
Identify and resolve entry discrepancies or delays
Qualifications
Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Customs Entry Writer or similar role
Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import procedures
Experience with ABI systems (e.g., CargoWise, Descartes, or similar)
Proficiency in HTS classification and duty calculation
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) is a plus but not required
