Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Licensed Funeral Director role located in Kalamazoo, MI. The licensed professional will oversee and facilitate funeral arrangements, embalming, and preparation services while providing supportive care to families. Responsibilities include coordinating services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and empathy in interactions with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications
Skills in embalming and familiarity with funeral home operations
Experience in family services with a focus on empathy and support
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with families and team members
Exceptional customer‑service skills and ability to provide a comforting experience to clients
Licensed as a Funeral Director in the state of Michigan or the ability to obtain licensing
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining industry standards
Understanding of cultural and religious customs is an asset
