This role offers the flexibility to be based in any U.S. office and may be structured as either a senior staff attorney or partner‑track position, depending on experience and interest. The position presents an exceptional opportunity to work on high‑value, complex leasing matters for prominent national and international clients across a wide range of asset classes.
Candidate Profile
JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
Active Bar Admission in the attorney’s U.S. jurisdiction of practice, in good standing
10+ years of substantive commercial real estate leasing experience
Extensive experience representing landlords and tenants in retail, office, industrial, mixed‑use, and ground lease transactions
Proven ability to manage complex leasing portfolios and negotiate high‑value, sophisticated lease agreements
Strong understanding of market leasing terms, deal structures, and industry dynamics
Experience handling amendments, assignments, subleases, estoppels, and SNDAs
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment
Experience with national or multi‑state leasing portfolios strongly preferred
Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Sound judgment and a collaborative, business‑oriented approach
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial lease agreements, including retail, office, industrial, mixed‑use, and ground leases
Advise clients on leasing strategy, risk mitigation, portfolio management, and real estate operations
Handle lease amendments, subleases, assignments, estoppels, SNDAs, and related agreements
Manage transactions from engagement through execution, ensuring timely and proactive client communication
Collaborate closely with real estate attorneys across U.S. and international offices on complex matters
