
Power Markets Intern
Lightsourcelabs, Denver, CO, United States
This position will support the Power Marketing team in the day-to-day workflows of marketing various energy products via RFPs as well as contributing to longer term strategic initiatives to ensure the team maintains efficient internal processes.
Location:
Denver, CO, Austin, TX, or San Francisco, CA (Candidates seeking remote work will not be considered)
Duration:
Early June – Mid-August (~10 weeks)
Schedule:
40 hours per week
Pay:
$20/hour
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid with occasional project site visits
Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to the submission of RFPs released by renewable energy buyers
Manage and organize proposals and pricing submissions into online database
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency or automate processes to support marketing of Lightsource bp’s solar and battery energy storage portfolio
Lead weekly power marketing team meetings
Work on special projects that involve researching and analyzing new markets and emerging energy technologies
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated interest in renewable energy, grid modernization or data center infrastructure
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, engineering, environmental science or other related field
Strong research and analytical skills
Previous experience with financial modeling, with strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple work streams independently
Passion for sustainability
Ability to succeed in both team-based and independent professional settings
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff throughout the organization, and unaffiliated third parties
Desired Qualifications
Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in a related field
Strong organizational and communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
