Regional Sales Manager – Southeast

Position Summary We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of Sales Engineers across the Southeast U.S. This individual will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for driving regional revenue growth, strengthening distributor partnerships, and expanding key end-user relationships.
This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring a balance of strategic thinking, field engagement, and team development. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical sales experience, a passion for coaching, and a proven ability to execute within a structured sales process.
Direct Reports
Sales Engineers (remote team across the Southeast region)
Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Execution
Execute regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
Drive adoption of a disciplined, value-based sales process
Monitor performance metrics and adjust tactics to ensure success
Team Leadership & Development
Coach, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of Sales Engineers
Conduct regular field visits, ride‑along, and performance reviews
Recruit and onboard new talent as needed to support growth
Channel & Distributor Management
Manage and grow relationships with key distribution partners
Execute channel strategies to drive market share and revenue growth
Support distributors through joint calls, training, and business planning
Customer Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with strategic end users
Support complex sales opportunities and provide technical guidance
Act as a point of escalation for key customer challenges
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal teams including marketing, operations, and product management
Provide market feedback on trends, competition, and product performance
Operational Management
Manage regional forecasts, pipeline activity, and CRM reporting
Oversee travel and expense budgets for the region
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
5+ years of sales management experience leading remote teams
8–10+ years of experience in cutting tools, machining, or metalworking industries
Proven success selling through distribution channels
Strong technical understanding of machining processes and tooling applications
Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and develop talent
Experience working within a structured sales methodology and CRM system
