The Opportunity As SVP/GM, Real World Evidence, you will own HealthVerity's commercial presence and growth strategy within the RWE vertical of life sciences. You will lead a team of salespeople and subject matter experts, driving the full commercial motion from building pipeline and winning new business to deepening relationships with key customers and expanding HealthVerity’s footprint within priority accounts. You will help shape go-to-market strategy, influence product and capability roadmaps, and refine how HealthVerity’s solutions are positioned in the market. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and operate as a true business owner, combining strategic vision with hands-on leadership to make this vertical a cornerstone of HealthVerity's growth.
What You Will Do
Own the RWE vertical commercial strategy — Define and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the Real World Evidence vertical, including market segmentation, competitive positioning, pricing philosophy, and investment priorities.
Drive revenue and pipeline — Own and deliver against ambitious revenue targets for the RWE vertical. Build and maintain a healthy, predictable pipeline and maintain rigorous forecast discipline with your team.
Build and scale a world-class team — Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of salespeople and subject matter experts. Design the org structure needed to win and invest in coaching and development.
Land and expand at the highest levels — Personally own C-suite and VP-level relationships at priority accounts and lead strategic deals to maximize HealthVerity’s market presence.
Shape the product and solution roadmap — Partner with Product and Pre-Sales to ensure HealthVerity’s RWE capabilities meet market demands and bring the voice of the customer into decisions.
Champion cross-functional collaboration — Build strong working relationships across Marketing, Pre-Sales, and Customer Success to deliver a seamless customer experience from prospecting through renewal and expansion.
Represent HealthVerity in the market — Serve as a thought leader and evangelist for HealthVerity’s RWE capabilities at industry events, in customer conversations, and with external stakeholders.
What You Will Bring Required
12+ years of experience selling healthcare data and research assets into the life sciences industry, with deep expertise in Real World Evidence.
5+ years of experience leading and scaling a high-performing sales team.
A proven track record of owning and exceeding revenue targets with scalable pipeline management.
Demonstrated success selling to C-suite and VP-level stakeholders within top pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Experience as a true consultative seller who understands customer problems and builds solution-based approaches.
Strong cross-functional instincts to collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Pre-Sales.
Leadership that blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Preferred
Prior experience in a GM or P&L-owning role or other business-ownership roles beyond sales quota.
Existing senior relationships within the RWE and Medical Affairs functions at top pharma.
Familiarity with HealthVerity’s Marketplace or similar data licensing/activation platforms.
Experience operating in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $250,000 – 310,000 plus incentive compensation.
Hiring Locations Our main office is in Center City, Philadelphia, with a hybrid model requiring in-office work three days a week for local employees. We prioritize hiring in the Philadelphia area.
For certain roles, we also hire from hub locations where we have an established presence with remote work. These employees may work from home and join the team in person at least once a year for team-building and planning.
