We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded
Senior HR Manager
to provide strategic and operational HR leadership across our expanding American operations.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, creative environment and is motivated by building high‑performing teams, driving people initiatives, and supporting a rapidly expanding global organisation.
Reporting directly to the President, US based in New York, with a dotted line to the Global Head of HR located in the global HQ in Sydney, Australia, you will be responsible for driving the local people and culture strategy for the Americas.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Operational Leadership
Provide key operational support, overseeing day‑to‑day HR activities including talent management, pay and benefits, compliance, and policy administration
Lead a small team of HR professionals in supporting the full employee lifecycle, including performance management, ER matters, recognition, L&D, and workplace health and safety
Partner with the President, US and Global Head of HR to design, and execute the strategic HR roadmap
Collaborate with leaders and employees to support the rollout of people‑related strategies and cultural initiatives
Talent Management & Development
Contribute to the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and selection
Support the development and implementation of learning initiatives, leveraging internal online platforms
Champion Diversity & Inclusion by identifying and delivering meaningful local initiatives
Employee Relations
Support disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations alongside, partnering with legal counsel as required.
Coach and advise managers on performance and disciplinary processes.
Oversee the payroll function, including the management of an inhouse Payroll Specialist and relationship with the external payroll vendor.
Assist in vendor selection for new markets and administer annual benefits enrolment
Monitor compensation and benefits trends to ensure competitive offerings.
Compliance & HR Administration
Drive administrative excellence across all areas of the people function, including seamless onboarding, offboarding and policy administration.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment legislation is upheld.
Process Improvement & Innovation
Stay across emerging HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies
Continuously review and enhance HR processes for efficiency and impact
Leadership & Projects
Manage and develop direct reports, ensuring capability building for current and future needs
Contribute to key HR projects such as system implementations, engagement programs, onboarding enhancements, and DEI initiatives
Support HR setup and program delivery for new global markets
What You will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum three years’ human resource management experience (fashion industry experience is highly regarded)
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build strong rapport with stakeholders at all levels
