What You’ll Do We are looking for someone that thrives in a rapidly changing, ambiguous environment. You are a culture champion, talent identifier, performance overseer, and services beacon where execution is always the goal. You will play a critical role in aligning People strategies with business objectives to drive organizational performance. Acting as a trusted advisor, the People Partner collaborates with senior leaders and key stakeholders to provide strategic HR guidance and support across multiple business functions. This position requires deep expertise in HR practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence business decisions to drive sustainable growth and a high‑performing culture. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a public company in the life sciences or tech sector.
Responsibilities
Partner with business leaders to understand organizational goals, challenges, and opportunities; advise on People strategies that support business success
Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders, providing insights on employee engagement, retention, performance management, and organizational development
Lead People programs within client group talent management initiatives, including performance management, workforce planning, succession planning, leadership development
Leverage AI and advanced analytics to enhance workforce planning, talent insights, organizational design, and decision‑making at scale
Partner with COE’s with administering people related programs, compensation, community, benefits and leave of absence, workforce analytics
Address complex employee relations issues and ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulations. Provide guidance to managers on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition teams to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies, ensuring the attraction of top‑tier talent
Lead initiatives to enhance organizational design, optimize team structures, and ensure efficient business operations
Support change management efforts during organizational transitions, acquisitions, or other business transformations
Partner with legal, ensuring adherence to employment laws and company policies
Foster strong relationships across business units, ensuring that People priorities are understood and supported by leadership
Where You’ll Work This is a hybrid role and requires in‑office collaboration 2‑3× per week in our San Francisco Office.
Who You Are
Minimum of 10 + years of progressive HR experience with at least 10 years in a strategic HRBP role
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
Experience working in a Life Sciences organization who have a commercialized product a plus
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational development principles
Demonstrated experience applying AI‑enabled tools or insights to improve People processes, strategic planning, or leader decision‑making
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization, from executives to individual contributors
High level of business acumen and ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to leverage metrics to drive decision‑making
10 % travel
You have demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in adopting AI‑powered tools and technologies
Salary Range: $215,800 — $269,800 USD
