We are seeking a strategic and results-driven
Director of Key Account Sales
to lead and scale our national account sales organization. This leadership role will oversee a team of 10+ Key Account Managers, driving performance across major retail partners while setting the vision, structure, and strategy for continued growth.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
Lead and manage a team of 10+ Key Account Managers across multiple retail channels
Conduct interviews, support hiring, and oversee onboarding and training of new team members
Set clear performance goals, KPIs, and accountability structures
Provide consistent feedback through regular business reviews and performance check-ins
Build scalable processes and playbooks to drive consistency and growth
Account & Revenue Ownership
Oversee performance across all key national and regional retail accounts
Partner with Key Account Managers on top accounts to support strategy, negotiations, and executive-level relationships
Drive revenue growth through expanded distribution, new item placement, and strategic initiatives
Maintain and strengthen relationships with key retail partners
Strategic Planning & Execution
Analyze sales data, retail trends, and competitive insights to inform decision‑making
Collaborate with vendor partners to align on goals, positioning, and sell‑in strategy
Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, operations, and insights teams to ensure strong execution
Vendor Relations & Business Development
Serve as a key liaison between the company and vendor partners to ensure mutual success
Identify and secure new retail opportunities across key channels
Expand relationships within existing accounts to unlock incremental growth
Represent the company at trade shows, market weeks, and industry events
Operational Excellence
Ensure strong organization, follow‑up, and execution across all sales initiatives
Manage time effectively and balance competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Maintain high attention to detail across accounts and internal processes
Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience in sales, key account management, or national accounts (toy, gift, or consumer goods preferred)
Proven experience managing and scaling high‑performing sales teams (10+ direct or indirect reports)
Strong track record of driving revenue growth with major retailers
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to evolving business needs
Additional Requirements
Must be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area
Hybrid schedule: 2 days in‑office, 3 days remote (with additional onsite commitments as needed)
Ability to travel approximately 40–50 days per year
