As a Moderate Inside Property Adjuster, you will provide exceptional service to our policyholders. Working remotely from your home office, your primary responsibility will involve virtually inspecting damages, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and accurately. Your communication will span voice calls, email, text messages, and video chat using platforms such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. This role places a particular focus on water losses.

Responsibilities

Customer Service Expert:

Live in Allstate’s Claims Culture by being compassionate, clear, and a committed partner in each property claim.

Investigator:

Investigate property claims independently by reviewing damage details and interpreting policies to determine coverage.

Effective Communicator:

Use phone, email, and video chat to guide customers through a fast, fair, and easy claims process, addressing their communication preferences and keeping them updated on progress.

Negotiator:

Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third‑party carriers, and claimants in accordance with legal and business standards. Employ tactics for challenging and complex situations.

Problem Solver:

Use multiple tools and critical thinking skills to complete work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Recorder:

Safeguard the company’s financial interests by executing policies and maintaining accurate records in the claims system, ensuring timely and complete documentation for each claim.

Schedule

Office Address – 1120 S Rackham Way Suite 300, Meridian, ID.

Initial 100% in‑office period, thereafter hybrid: Monday‑Wednesday in office, Thursday‑Friday remote.

Monday – Friday: 8 am – 5 pm with rotational Saturday duty.

Willingness to work some weekends and extended hours when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of customer service experience.

Previous industry experience highly desired.

Proficiency in Xactimate and other virtual assessment software.

Ability to assess property damages and accurately determine claim coverage.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills for remote stakeholder interaction.

Independent work and efficient time management in a virtual environment.

Detail‑oriented, organized, and committed to high‑quality claim resolutions.

Residency within the Meridian, ID area is required.

Training

The program builds a claims foundation and introduces systems and processes used daily.

Ongoing training opportunities for continuous improvement are available on the job.

Licensing Requirements

As required, obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, including background check with the Department of Labor.

The Hiring Manager and the Centralized Licensing team will assist in securing needed licenses.

Sign‑On Bonus You may be eligible for a $1,000 licensing sign‑on bonus if you possess the applicable active licenses needed for this role, such as Home Resident Property & Casualty, designated home state (Florida or Texas), or appraiser license. Current employees or previously employed Allstate candidates are not eligible.

Compensation Compensation for this role is $54,000 – $84,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Background Investigation Candidates offered the position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
