POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Director develops and executes strategies to increase brand awareness of the Adventist Review and all its products around the world. This includes oversight of advertising, marketing, and distribution initiatives on digital and print platforms and increasing reach, accessibility, and engagement across the global Adventist audience.
COMPENSATION
Full-time exempt position with benefits
Remuneration Range: 89-104% ($85k - $99k annually)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to support global dissemination of Adventist Review.
Align marketing initiatives with editorial calendars and organizational priorities while supporting scalable, cross-cultural distribution models.
Build relationships with division, communication, and publishing leaders to determine distribution strategy.
Develop and execute strategies to increase subscriber and audience growth, engagement, and retention as well as streamline the two existing subscription databases.
Segment audiences by region, language, generation, and engagement level.
Aid in the coordination of fundraising campaigns.
Ensure consistent brand messaging while adapting campaigns for regional relevance.
Oversee development of promotional materials, including booth/exhibit displays and marketing materials for events.
Monitor channel performance and adjust execution accordingly.
Translate editorial priorities into clear and accurate promotional messaging.
Collaborate with editorial, design, and digital teams to support campaigns and special initiatives.
Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics related to reach, engagement, and retention.
Use data insights to inform strategy, planning and continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with Editorial, Digital Media, and Print Operations teams to align marketing strategies with content development, production timelines, and global distribution schedules.
Coordinate content and marketing initiatives across digital platforms, print circulation, and institutional channels to ensure timely and consistent execution.
Manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously across departments and regions.
Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers as assigned.
Operate within approved budgets, policies, and organizational procedures.
Must be a member in regular standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Must maintain a regular and reliable work schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field. Appropriate successful work experience may be acceptable in lieu of scholastic requirements.
Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or media-related roles.
Experience executing multi-channel marketing initiatives and using analytics to inform decision-making.
Experience supporting international or global initiatives is preferred.
Strong familiarity with digital publishing or media organizations is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Broad knowledge of principles, policies and beliefs of the General Conference and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Strong knowledge of marketing related technical skills, such as Adobe, funnel building, and mass mailing email systems.
Advanced command of English language skills including proficiency in verbal and written forms.
Strong understanding of how Adventists behave online and in real life. Global understanding is preferred.
Ability to handle sensitive topics and personalities.
Must possess a strategic mindset with an understanding of long-term sustainability.
