Our client, a growing insurance brokerage, is seeking a seasoned remote Account Executive - Employee Benefits (Mid-Market and Large Clients) to act as a strategic partner to clients across a diverse employee benefits portfolio. This role blends consulting, financial strategy, and team leadership—ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing environment and enjoys driving meaningful impact.
What You’ll Be Doing Analyze claims data, financial reports, and utilization trends to develop strategic, cost-effective benefits recommendations
Lead and guide clients through annual renewals, including market strategy, carrier negotiations, and plan design decisions
Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, serving as a go-to advisor on benefits strategy and long-term planning
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between strategy, execution, and overall client experience
Support complex, large-market accounts by partnering with senior consultants to implement strategic initiatives and deliverables
Identify opportunities to expand services, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to overall portfolio growth
Provide direction and mentorship to junior team members, helping elevate their client readiness and technical skillsets
Work closely with carrier and vendor partners to evaluate solutions and bring forward competitive, tailored offerings
Translate complex data and market insights into clear, compelling presentations for client decision-makers
Quarterly travel for key client meetings
What We’re Looking For 8–10+ years of experience in employee benefits within a brokerage or consulting environment
Current California Life & Health Insurance License
Demonstrated success managing client relationships and delivering strategic benefits solutions
Deep understanding of group health, ancillary products, and funding strategies
Experience interpreting data and leading financial discussions with clients
Knowledge of compliance frameworks including ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a variety of audiences
Proven leadership mindset with experience coaching or supporting team members
Nice to Have Familiarity with benefits administration platforms and CRM tools
Exposure to automation or AI tools to improve efficiency and insights
