We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Representative to join our team. The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for creating qualified sales appointments through proactive outbound outreach and follow‑thru on incoming lead assignments. This role exists to generate pipeline sales opportunities, not to support sales administratively. BDRs will engage prospective customers via cold calling, email, LinkedIn, market research, field sales rep engagement and other effective methods, working closely with assigned field sales representatives to book high‑quality, sales‑ready appointments. Location: Dallas area (Remote) Employment Type: Full‑Time Pay: $21 - $28 per hour Responsibilities Proactively generate new sales opportunities through cold calling, personalized outbound email, LinkedIn outreach, market research, assigned lead engagement Book qualified, sales‑accepted appointments for assigned field sales representatives Meet or exceed monthly qualified appointment targets Follow defined outbound cadences consistently and accurately Field Sales Collaboration Work directly with 5–8 assigned field sales representatives Participate in regular feedback loops with field sales to refine messaging and targeting, understand objections and buying signals, improve appointment quality and conversion, align outreach efforts with territory‑specific priorities and target accounts Qualification & Revenue Alignment Qualify prospects based on defined criteria before setting appointments Ensure appointments are relevant, sales‑ready, properly positioned for the field rep Take ownership of lead quality, not just volume CRM & Process Discipline Accurately log all outreach, conversations, and appointments in company CRM Follow attribution and bonus eligibility rules Maintain clean, timely, and accurate CRM data Comply with all activity and reporting standards Performance Expectations Minimum monthly qualified appointment threshold required to be bonus‑eligible Consistent daily outbound activity Continuous improvement in conversion rates and appointment quality Willingness to receive coaching, feedback, and call reviews Qualifications Prior experience in outbound sales BDR or similar role preferred Comfort speaking with decision‑makers by phone Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a metrics‑driven environment Coachable, competitive, and resilient Experience with CRM systems Success Looks Like… Consistently exceeding appointment thresholds Strong alignment with field sales High appointment acceptance and show rates Direct contribution to pipeline and revenue growth Compensation Overview Hourly base pay Performance bonuses tied to qualified appointments booked Closed revenue on BDR‑originated or BDR‑assisted deals Clear thresholds and transparent payout structure Benefits 100% Paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance for employees ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) Parental Leave Life Insurance Charity Matching Program Disability Insurance Tuition reimbursement Referral bonus program PTO Holiday Pay 401K Southwest Solutions Group® is an equal‑opportunity employer.
