Requirements Non-Profit Experience, Foundation Experience, Healthcare Experience, preferably with large Hospital Grants Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher

Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) (1+ years)

Financial Leadership (7+ years)

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.

Oversee corporate accounting functions such as general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and cost control measures.

Ensure adherence to accounting standards including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and ASC 606 revenue recognition guidelines.

Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, investment management, risk assessment, and regulatory reporting to optimize liquidity and financial stability.

Conduct detailed financial analysis to interpret profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports for executive decision‑making.

Implement robust risk management practices to identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Lead the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports that comply with regulatory requirements and support strategic initiatives.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on business development opportunities, cost management initiatives, and funding strategies to foster organizational growth.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non‑profit accounting practices to ensure compliance across all activities.

Utilize advanced financial software tools for bookkeeping, account reconciliation, budget tracking, and financial reporting to streamline operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles such as Finance Director or CFO within diverse sectors including non‑profit organizations or governmental agencies.

Extensive knowledge of IFRS, IAS, GAAP standards, ASC 606 revenue recognition rules, and technical accounting principles.

Demonstrated expertise in corporate finance functions like investment management, fiscal planning, cost analysis, and risk assessment.

Strong background in regulatory reporting requirements for non‑profit or governmental entities coupled with experience in public accounting environments.

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software systems for general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and account analysis.

Excellent communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports and interpreting complex financial concepts clearly for diverse audiences.
