Morning News Now is looking for a talented, decisive
Line Producer
who thrives in the control room and understands the unique rhythm of live morning news. This is a pivotal role on our flagship streaming morning show — the person who keeps the broadcast tight, smart, urgent, and visually compelling from the first block to the final tease. If you’re a journalist first, love building a strong rundown, and know how to pivot seamlessly when news breaks at 6:12 am, this role is for you. Responsibilities
Own the Rundown Partner with the Executive Producer and senior producers to build and execute a sharp, well‑paced daily rundown that reflects the biggest stories of the morning and anticipates developments throughout the day. Lead in the Control Room Drive live production with calm authority. Make real‑time editorial decisions, adjust timing, and rework segments seamlessly when breaking news hits. Elevate Editorial Quality Approve and copy edit scripts for clarity, accuracy, tone, and impact. Write headlines, teases, and opens that cut through and set the agenda for the day. Collaborate Across the Newsroom Work closely with booking, the news desk, correspondents, and bureaus to secure strong guests, coordinate live shots, and ensure the show reflects the full power of NBC News reporting. Strengthen Production Value Partner with producers and editors to identify the strongest video, sound, and graphic elements for every block. Ensure visuals are clean, accurate, and compelling. Think Ahead Balance day‑of urgency with forward planning. Help identify recurring franchises, fresh angles, and smart ways to serve a morning streaming audience. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in broadcast, streaming, or cable news 3+ years working on live daily news programs At least 1 year of experience as a Line Producer Demonstrated excellence leading a control room during live programming Strong editorial judgment and deep understanding of journalistic standards Exceptional writing and copy‑editing skills Ability to stay composed and decisive under tight, high‑pressure deadlines Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Willing and able to work in‑person in New York, NY Desired Characteristics

This position is performed full‑time from an NBCUniversal‑designated worksite in New York. Salary
$110,000 - $125,000 Benefits
