Through this work, the Foundation enables cutting-edge clinical trials and medical innovation that are improving treatment options, strengthening patient care, and advancing healthcare delivery across Northern Sydney.

The Sydney NORTH Clinical Trials Campaign is a high-impact initiative focused on advancing medical research and improving patient outcomes through world-class clinical trials. With a focus on areas such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, neurological conditions, and rare diseases, the campaign is positioned to contribute meaningfully to the future of healthcare in Australia and beyond.

Impact you will have in this role Reporting to the Philanthropy Campaign Manager, the Philanthropy Campaign Events Specialist plays a central role in delivering donor events that support the Sydney NORTH Clinical Trials Campaign.

You will lead the planning and delivery of campaign events across the donor journey, including cultivation and stewardship events, campaign briefings, site visits, and engagement opportunities with clinicians, researchers, and senior stakeholders. These events play a critical role in strengthening donor relationships, supporting pipeline progression, and deepening engagement with the campaign.

Working closely with the CEO, Executive Officer, Fundraising & Philanthropy team, Marketing & Communications team, and clinicians, you will ensure events are strategically aligned, insight-led, and consistently reflect the campaign narrative and organisational values.

You will manage end-to-end event delivery including logistics, suppliers, timelines, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring seamless execution and a consistently high-standard donor experience that brings the impact of clinical trials and research innovation to life.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality campaign events that support donor engagement and campaign milestones

Coordinate donor cultivation and stewardship events, campaign briefings, site visits, and engagement activities

Work with clinicians and researchers to support content-rich event experiences showcasing clinical trials and research impact

Manage event logistics including venues, suppliers, timelines, and operational requirements

Coordinate with internal stakeholders including CEO, Executive Officer, Mar/Comms, and fundraising teams

Ensure events are aligned with campaign messaging, branding, and donor engagement objectives

Support donor experience through well-executed, high-quality event delivery

Contribute to post-event reviews and continuous improvement of event delivery

Maintain accurate records and reporting related to event activity

Skills and experience

Experience in donor-centred event coordination or delivery, ideally within a fundraising, not-for-profit, health, research, or purpose-driven environment

Strong organisational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple events and deadlines

Experience coordinating event logistics including suppliers, timelines, and stakeholder requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging a range of stakeholders

Ability to work collaboratively across internal teams including fundraising, marketing, and clinical stakeholders

High attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent, well-executed work under time constraints

Understanding of donor engagement and the role of events in fundraising or relationship management

Commitment to advancing medical research and improving patient outcomes
