Our intent is to disrupt the industry without being disrespectful to the sport and its rich traditions.*This Assistant Technical Designer is an important part of maintaining the overall fit of all G/FORE Apparel for both Men’s and Women’s collections. Working alongside the Technical Design Manager, you will support at all stages of garment fit, from development to production.*We are looking for a candidate with the following intangibles:* Analytical and critical thinking skills* Attention to detail* Flexible and effective collaborator with good interpersonal skills* Self-motivated, independent worker who can challenge others, makes decisions, and perfect processes* Strong verbal and written communication skills**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:* Assist tech team by measuring development protos, salesman samples, size sets, PPs and TOPs.* Communicate with factories as needed to share TOP comments.* Ensure Style Master is updated with fit comment send dates.* Organize and hang all protos with their respective spec sheets ahead of the fitting.* Creating weekly fit lists.* Attend weekly fittings for Men’s and Women’s and record fit comments.* Note spec issues while measuring to be discussed with design and tech during fittings.* Track protos shipped from the factories to allow for visibility on sample arrival.* Organize patterns received from factories by season and category.* Assist in opening packages and sending reference samples.**COMPETENCIES:*** Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines and priorities* Accurate organizational methods with a strong attention to detail* Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Adobe software a plus* Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, vendors and clients**DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:*** 1-3 years of experience is preferred* Bachelor’s Degree in related field* Strong knowledge of Excel and Outlook proficiency required* Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator* Understanding of Pattern Making and Garment construction* PLM experience preferred*If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!**Peter Millar & G/FORE are equal opportunity employers.
