
Global Continuous Improvement Manager

As the Global CI Manager, reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence, you will assume a high‑visibility leadership role focused on developing and executing the Corporate Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy. You will support plants in implementing the Dover Operational Excellence program, driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and enhancing operational performance globally.
The core responsibility is to return bottom‑line productivity savings to the global P&L through deployment and use of foundational lean concepts. You will work closely with Plant Managers, DPC CI teams, Dover Corporate, and cross‑functional teams to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost‑effective operational and business solutions across plant operations.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field
Six Sigma Black Belt certification and/or Lean certification
Experience with TQMS such as TPS, Honeywell operating system, or similar operational excellence model
8‑10+ years of progressive experience in Lean Transformation across multiple sites, driving continuous improvement in a high‑performing manufacturing environment, preferably with capital equipment
Ability to coordinate and lead successful cross‑functional improvements with superior written, oral and presentation skills
Experience leading CI at a multi‑site level
High level of self‑motivation with proactive problem‑solving and strong decision‑making capabilities
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Experience working with functional leaders to execute a CI roadmap and deliver baseline results
Ability to influence, motivate and drive a CI mindset across disciplines
Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Power BI
Preferred (Optional)
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
Lean transactional experience in customer services, order entry, engineering design, and finance
SME/AME/ASQ/Shingo or other Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
What You’ll Do
Develop, communicate, and lead the execution of the global CI strategy as an individual contributor, focusing on transformation, processes, and systems to deliver greater value and improved productivity
Champion and sustain a robust CI infrastructure that enables near real‑time program improvements and cross‑functional collaboration to share learnings globally
Support all Dover operational excellence initiatives and execute the CI roadmap within sites, championing site‑level CI events to return productivity improvements through core lean waste elimination concepts
Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
Lead site productivity targets, deployment, and execution, championing project roadmaps to reduce cost of goods sold (COGS)
Oversee end‑to‑end process optimization and standardization
Deploy design‑for‑flow lean tools and conduct training for plant/functional teams
Establish standardized work and audit schedules for sustainment, partnering to improve SQDIP metrics globally
Implement and share CI best practices across all sites within DPC
Conduct GEMBA walks and coach/mentor/train plant and functional management to embed a consistent CI culture
Teach problem‑solving skills and promote the use of problem‑solving tools within plant and functional areas
Follow up regularly with site leaders to ensure continuity of foundational CI projects and track/report progress
Note: This position is open to hybrid working but requires attendance in Houston offices on a weekly basis and may require up to 50% travel domestically and internationally.
