Job Overview
CAEL is seeking a skilled Event & Professional Development Consultant to provide specialized technical and operational support for our national portfolio of events. Unlike a traditional staff role, this consultancy is focused on high-level execution of our event management systems (Cvent) and learning platforms (Moodle), ensuring seamless delivery of our annual hybrid conference and webinar series. Additionally, this consultant will manage:
The speaker portal and communications
Mobile App & Virtual Hub
Delivery of monthly engagement and completion analytics for all virtual resources
Sponsorship & Vendor Execution
On-Site & Virtual Execution
Compensation The monthly retainer for this consultant role is $5,400 for completion of the specified scope of work. This work is scheduled for May 1, 2026 through November 30, 2026.
Additional Consultant Qualifications As a mission-driven nonprofit, CAEL requires a consultant who can operate independently, in a remote environment, bring their own "tech stack" or expertise to our existing systems, and hit specific milestones without the need for internal onboarding. Additional consultant qualifications include:
Proficient Systems Knowledge: Minimum of 3–5 years of advanced administrative experience in Cvent and Moodle.
Industry Credentialing: CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) preferred to ensure industry-standard best practices.
Proven Track Record: Portfolio of successful hybrid events (simultaneous in-person and virtual audiences).
Consultant must be available for Slack/Email responses within a 4-hour window during standard business hours (9 AM – 5 PM EST).
