Vice President, Demand Gen – Tax, Audit & Accounting Professionals
About the Role
As VP of the TAAP segment, you’re responsible for integrated global campaigns and growth marketing strategies that meaningfully drive the business and solidify TAAP as the #1 AI leader for the tax, audit and accounting professionals we serve.
You will lead the development of comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns, cascade differentiated and compelling narratives, and lead critical marketing initiatives across the US, Canada and Europe to achieve the financial and strategic objectives of the TAAP business. Key stakeholders and partners include Sales, Finance, Strategy, Product Marketing, Brand, Comms, Digital, Ops.
This is a highly visible position that liaises with Segment President, General Managers and C‑suite executives. The ideal candidate will be an integrated full‑stack marketer, data‑driven and customer‑obsessed, entrepreneurial, and exude ownership of the business, able to deliver tangible results in a matrixed environment.
This role reports to the Head of Demand Generation and the Chief Marketing Officer.
What You'll Do
Deliver both short and long‑term revenue objectives by creating and executing a marketing strategy aligned to Segment's strategic plan and objectives.
Build a strong cross‑functional team and drive bold, best‑in‑class marketing to advance strategy for new and existing products in partnership with functional Centers of Excellence including product marketing, digital marketing, PR, content, etc.
Develop key marketing messaging, creative concepts and design, audience targeting, segmentation, and retargeting strategies to deliver effective results.
Spearhead innovative marketing grounded in a compelling vision, clearly defined priorities, and measurable business results aligned with TAAP's strategy.
Own all execution/operational results across the US, Canada, and Europe, and collaborate across global enterprise marketing functions. Leverage thought leadership to elevate TR as a leader in Gen AI, innovation and SaaS marketing.
Partner with finance and analytics to define and track data and insights around acquisition and customer retention, consistently balancing short and long‑term results.
Inspire, empower, and develop a talented marketing team; optimize organizational structure and streamline hand‑offs.
Own and champion the internal AI roadmap within marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery of effective marketing strategies to fuel the marketing‑sourced pipeline, from marketing qualified lead to closed sale.
Report out to the business and continuously optimize and streamline the marketing flywheel.
Establish and deliver the financial targets for the segment.
Ensure customer voice drives marketing actions.
Responsible for sales‑generated pipeline, SLG/ABM strategies, and PLG self‑serve digital.
Build CoCounsel brand and consideration among TAAP to win market share and drive strong adoption of technology.
Location This position can be based out of any of our US hub locations: New York, NY; Frisco, TX; Eagan, MN; Ann Arbor, MI.
About You
Experience leading global teams in a matrixed environment with a data‑driven approach.
Extensive leadership experience in enterprise technology and cloud‑centric industries, with the scale and sophistication of a large global business.
A track record of success as an innovator and marketing strategist with 15+ years of diverse experience in the technology industry.
Demonstrated experience leading and growing a successful SaaS marketing organization of large scope, global reach, and complexity.
Confirmed experience driving marketing strategy and programs (thought leadership, demand generation) at scale.
Depth of knowledge and experience effectively crafting and running demand generation strategies, working closely with Sales and Product Marketing leadership.
Steadfast focus on the customer experience.
Deep understanding of marketing's role in delivering time‑to‑value as well as topline revenue.

Base compensation ranges vary by location: $201,600 – $374,400 USD nationally, and $175,000 – $325,000 USD for other eligible US locations. Base pay is positioned within the range based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity considerations. Base pay is part of a comprehensive Total Reward program that also includes flexible benefits and wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus based on enterprise and individual performance.
