With the expansion of Zenith™, our clinical exome and genome testing portfolio, we are seeking a strategic leader to help us redefine the diagnostic journey for rare disease patients.
Position Summary As the Regional Director, Rare Disease, you will lead Natera’s national expansion. You will head a team of specialists dedicated to the Zenith™ portfolio, focusing on building a best-in-class culture, establishing deep institutional partnerships, and ensuring patients have access to advanced genomic insights.
What You’ll Do
Build & Lead:
Recruit, mentor, and inspire a regional sales team, coaching for professional growth and collective commercial target achievement.
Drive Strategy:
Develop and execute a regional business plan aligned with aggressive growth objectives, covering territory optimization, resource management, and high-growth market identification.
KOL & Institutional Engagement:
Build enduring relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in developmental pediatrics, neurology, and medical genetics, and lead institutional adoption strategy within major Children’s Hospitals and rare disease centers.
Launch & Scale:
Lead field execution for the Zenith™ portfolio, managing complex sales cycles, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations to position Natera as the provider of choice for exome and genome testing.
Cross‑Functional Partnership:
Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Managed Care to refine value proposition and remove barriers to patient access.
Operational Excellence:
Use data‑driven insights and Salesforce metrics to forecast accurately and continuously improve regional performance.
Who You Are
Experienced Leader:
Minimum 5 years in biotech, pharma, or diagnostic sales with at least 3 years of proven success in a sales leadership role.
Rare Disease Expert:
Deep understanding of the rare disease landscape, especially medical genetics or pediatric specialty markets; experience with Children’s Hospitals is a major plus.
Strategic Thinker:
Ability to build strategies in dynamic, evolving markets rather than just follow plans.
Mission‑Driven:
Passion for genomics and the impact of early, accurate diagnosis on families and providers.
Communicator:
Presence that influences internal executives and external clinical leaders.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or MS in Life Sciences) is a plus.
Physical Demands & Work Environment Field‑based position requiring frequent travel (up to 50% or more depending on the region). Duties performed in a home office and clinical/hospital environments.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary with uncapped commission structure.

On‑target earnings (OTE):
$265,000 – $295,000 USD (first‑year OTE).
