Email & Audience Growth Manager Mello Media | Full-time | Phoenix, AZ (On-site) About Mello Media Mello Media is the media operation behind Tommy Mello, founder of A1 Garage Doors, one of the largest residential garage door companies in the country. We run two podcasts, a growing social presence across Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, and a content engine built to establish Tommy as the definitive voice in home service entrepreneurship. We're building toward a post-exit model centered on coaching, masterminds, and live events. Email is the backbone of how we monetize that audience. The Role

We\'re hiring an Email & Audience Growth Manager to build our email list from the ground up and own everything that feeds it. This is a generalist role for someone who can both architect the strategy and execute it. No handing off to an agency, no waiting for direction. You\'ll work directly with the GM and report into the leadership team. What You\'ll Own

Lead magnet strategy and production. Conceptualizing, writing, and deploying downloadable guides, checklists, and resources tied to our social content. Think: Tommy posts a Reel, you build the opt-in asset that captures every interested viewer. Comment-to-DM funnel management. Building and optimizing ManyChat (or equivalent) flows that convert social engagement into email subscribers. Email platform ownership. Setting up and managing our ESP (ConvertKit, Klaviyo, or ActiveCampaign), including list segmentation, tagging logic, and deliverability hygiene. A/B testing and iteration. Constantly testing subject lines, opt-in copy, magnet formats, and sequence messaging to improve conversion at every stage. Newsletter build-out. Once the list hits meaningful scale, developing and running a regular newsletter that keeps the audience warm and engaged. Monetization setup. Laying the groundwork for future coaching and course launches by building the list infrastructure and nurture sequences that convert subscribers into buyers. What We\'re Looking For

You\'ve built an email list from scratch before, and you can show us the numbers. Open rates, opt-in conversion rates, list size milestones. We want proof, not credentials. You understand the full funnel from a social video to a lead magnet to an opt-in page to a welcome sequence. You\'ve built that path before and you know what breaks at each stage. You\'re comfortable in the tools: ManyChat or a comment automation equivalent, an ESP at the level of ConvertKit or Klaviyo, and basic landing page builders like Stan Store or Linktree. You write well enough to produce first drafts of guides, email sequences, and opt-in copy. We have editors. We don\'t have time to start from zero on every asset. You\'re a self-starter. This role has direction but not a playbook yet. You\'ll be building the playbook. Nice to Have

$70,000 - $90,000 + performance incentives tied to list growth and conversion milestones
