Placement Specialist - Business Insurance
A day in the life.
As our Placement Specialist on our Business Insurance team, you'll provide support to the marketing operations within the Dakotas offices, ensuring the retention and acquisition of quality clients. Additionally, you'll be responsible for preparing submissions for our carrier partners, preparing client presentation materials and ensuring complete and consistent documentation in system of record.
Review submissions from Service Team to ensure necessary information is received
Prepare draft submission documents and finalize submissions for delivery
Review quotes against specifications and develop side-by-side comparisons
Record and maintain all information accurately on the appropriate systems
Prepare program proposals, review program binders for accuracy against quotes, complete file reviews, and assist marketing team with bind orders to carriers
Participate in regular marketing meetings with team members to discuss and review marketing opportunities for both new and renewal business
Work with producers and service staff in the day-to-day marketing of new & renewal commercial lines business
Collect, distribute and track Agency Performance with Carrier Partners
Keep team informed of carrier personnel, underwriting and appetite changes
Participate in prospect and client calls and provide expertise with producers
Provide direct customer service to the client on accounts
Gather information and analytics to assess and evaluate client risks in order to support the placement of client risks into the market
Ensure that quality and compliance procedures and processes are adhered to
Participate in discussions on renewal strategy and gather renewal information from client
Become efficient in online rating with the carriers, and be the point person for online rating with the marketing team

Bachelor's degree in business or related field
Property and casualty coverage and risk management knowledge
Strong interpersonal and sales-related skills in dealing with Producers, Client Executives, Carriers, and Clients
Must have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task
