Overview The Senior Manager of Technology Operations is a hands‑on technical leader responsible for the reliability, security, and scalability of the organization’s infrastructure and enterprise systems. This role owns end‑to‑end operations across cloud, networking, identity, server infrastructure, vulnerability management, backup and disaster recovery, and operational observability.

This leader drives operational excellence, ensures regulatory and audit readiness, and provides direct leadership to Level 1 and Level 2 support teams. The role balances deep technical expertise with disciplined IT service management practices to deliver secure, stable, and high‑performing IT services across the enterprise.

This role pays between $165,000 and $200,000 and is elgible for an annual bonus. It is based in our Agoura Hills, CA office and requires being on‑site 3 days a week, then 2 days a week remote.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

Provide direct technical oversight across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and enterprise systems.

Maintain operational ownership of Windows and macOS environments.

Support hybrid cloud environments including AWS and Azure.

Support Azure VDI infrastructure and cloud‑based desktop services.

Own server operations, including patching, upgrades, configuration management, and lifecycle planning.

Provide foundational network troubleshooting leveraging OSI model principles.

Support enterprise collaboration platforms including Zoom.

Security, Risk & Compliance

Lead the full life cycle of vulnerability management including identification, prioritization, remediation, and reporting.

Partner with Information Security to drive measurable risk reduction initiatives.

Ensure timely remediation of internal and external audit findings.

Maintain documentation and reporting for compliance and regulatory standards.

Ensure alignment with security policies and compliance frameworks.

Identity & Access Management

Lead administration and governance of Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory.

Manage access controls, RBAC models, and identity lifecycle processes.

Monitoring, Observability & Reliability

Implement and maintain observability practices across infrastructure and applications.

Oversee enterprise monitoring platforms including New Relic.

Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.

Ensure operational SLAs are defined, met, and continuously improved.

Backup, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

Own enterprise backup strategy and execution using Commvault.

Conduct regular recovery testing and ensure data protection standards are met.

Maintain enterprise‑level disaster recovery readiness and business continuity alignment.

Service Management & Support Leadership

Serve as escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 support operations.

Provide leadership and oversight to Level 1 and Level 2 support teams.

Drive continuous improvement in support processes and service delivery.

Utilize Jira for workflow management, ticketing, and operational tracking.

Maintain after‑hours support readiness and participate in on‑call rotation.

Business Partnership & Governance

Act as the primary liaison between IT Operations and business stakeholders.

Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years of IT leadership and people management experience.

Proven hands‑on experience managing across multiple platforms including infrastructure, networking, cloud, and systems.

Ability to lead ITSM practices including incident, problems, and change management.

Strong background in vulnerability management and audit remediation.

Experience managing enterprise backups and monitoring platforms.

Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast‑paced environment.

Willingness to work in a hybrid model (minimum 3 days onsite).

Ability to provide after‑hours support and participate in on‑call rotation.

Foundational knowledge in Tanium, SQL, as well as foundational knowledge in networking principles and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with enterprise monitoring best practices and understanding of enterprise security controls and compliance frameworks.

Experience with Azure VDI environments, Windows and macOS administration is preferred.

Experience with PowerShell and scripting automation is preferred.

JAMF and Microsoft Intune device management are a plus. The ability to support Palo Alto firewall environments is also a plus.
