Own performance optimization across data workloads, partnering on query, schema, and data model improvements.
Lead modern data architecture beyond traditional databases (data lakes, open table formats, decoupled compute).
Design and own high availability, disaster recovery, and multi‑region strategies, balancing resilience, performance, and cost.
Apply FinOps best practices to analyze and optimize cloud data spend.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.
Promote DevOps and platform best practices (IaC, automation, self‑service, lifecycle management).
Define standards for scalable, reliable, and cost‑transparent data storage and access.
Ensure security, compliance, and governance across databases and lakehouse platforms.
Mentor engineers and DBAs on modern, cost‑aware cloud data architecture.
Technical Environment:
Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
