Job Description This role works directly with one of Amcor's Key Accounts. It provides tactical sales direction and communication strategies to defend existing business and gain new business. The individual will work with stakeholders and leadership to implement business and marketing plans for the assigned account. Focus is on share of wallet growth for the key account.

Key Responsibilities

Own the key account, aligning Amcor’s values of safety, collaboration, accountability, results & outperformance into all aspects of the role.

Support execution of account strategy to maintain share of wallet and profitability; grow the account.

Manage account complexities to support customer requirements and anticipate future needs.

Assist in key business negotiations for new opportunities, supporting Amcor’s interests and influencing decisions.

Learn about Amcor products, the industry and competitive market.

Deliver sales goals, including profitable year‑over‑year growth for the assigned territory.

Build relationships with customers based on trust and respect.

Build cross‑functional relationships to support share of wallet growth strategies and support commercialization and onboarding with key internal and external partners.

Ensure Amcor and the Key Account adhere to contractual commitments, including inventory management and management of quality & service key performance indicators.

Network externally to become familiar with key influencers and collaborators within the industry, focusing on co‑packers, machine suppliers, OEMs, industry associations.

Coordinate Sales Management, R&D, Marketing and Field Service to support validation trials and customer trials.

Manage accounts receivable within acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department.

Work with Strategic Marketing to understand focus areas to meet strategic unmet customer needs.

Work with leaders on the implementation of defined strategy (technology, product management, commercial) for the market and targeted segments.

Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reporting.

Drive forecast accuracy for improved business results.

Be responsible for Account Planning, Pipeline management, profitability improvements, and churn management in the CRM tool.

Business and financial acumen, including understanding P&L and building customer proposals.

Ability to reduce complexity, cultivate relationships and articulate customer proposals, needs and strategy to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

2+ years of sales or technical experience, preferably within the packaging industry.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time.

Compensation The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $129,200 to $161,500; base pay may vary within the full salary range of $129,200 to $193,800 depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
