We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys in a fast-paced law firm environment. This role focuses on managing real estate transactions from contract through closing, with a strong emphasis on preparing closing binders, coordinating loan documentation, and reviewing title and survey materials.
Responsibilities
Prepare, organize, and finalize comprehensive closing binders (physical and electronic)
Ensure all executed documents, correspondence, and transaction materials are complete and properly filed
Distribute closing binders to clients, lenders, and internal records
Assist in the preparation and review of loan documents, including promissory notes, deeds of trust/mortgages, and settlement statements
Coordinate with lenders to obtain and verify closing instructions and funding requirements
Track key dates and ensure timely satisfaction of loan conditions
Review title commitments, title policies, and related exception documents
Analyze ALTA surveys and identify potential issues or discrepancies
Coordinate title clearance, including resolving liens, encumbrances, and other title defects
Assist attorneys with commercial and/or residential real estate transactions
Draft basic real estate documents and correspondence
Order and manage due diligence materials (title searches, surveys, zoning reports, etc.)
Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel
Ensure proper recording of documents
Track and obtain final title policies
Handle post-closing follow-ups and file maintenance
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal certificate preferred
2+ years of real estate paralegal experience in a law firm or title company
Strong knowledge of real estate closing processes, title review, and loan documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
