CURION, Deerfield, IL, United States

Duration:

6 months (temporary 1099 contract)

Hours:

30–40 hours/week; availability to maintain at least 4–5 hours of overlap with CST business hours

Position Summary We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Presentation Designer to support our market research team on a temporary basis. This role focuses on transforming research outputs into clear, visually compelling, and client‑ready presentations—primarily in PowerPoint. You’ll partner closely with internal teams to bring data, insights, and storytelling together in a polished, on‑brand format.

Key Responsibilities

Design and format client‑facing presentations in PowerPoint (PPT).

Design presentations that align with Curion and client brand guidelines, adapting style as needed while maintaining consistency, clarity, and quality across deliverables.

Translate complex research findings into clear, visually engaging slides.

Improve slide layouts, visual hierarchy, and overall storytelling flow.

Create charts, graphs, and simple data visualizations from research outputs.

Refine and enhance existing decks for clarity, consistency, and polish.

Incorporate feedback quickly and accurately, often within tight timelines.

Ensure final deliverables are error‑free and presentation‑ready.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience designing professional PowerPoint presentations, including the ability to build and edit presentations directly in PowerPoint (not solely designing in tools like Figma or Canva).

Experience in market research, consulting, or agency environments.

Strong eye for layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.

Ability to take rough content (notes, drafts, data) and turn it into polished slides.

Experience working with data‑heavy or insight‑driven content.

Familiarity with data visualization best practices.

Experience working with templates and brand systems.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills and ability to interpret feedback.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva).

Basic knowledge of Excel for charting.

Education (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience. We value demonstrated experience and portfolio quality over formal education.

What Success Looks Like

Delivers high‑quality, client‑ready presentations with minimal revisions.

Demonstrates strong attention to detail and consistency.

Effectively interprets direction and feedback.

Meets deadlines and communicates clearly on timing and progress.

Translates complex information into clear, compelling visuals.

Preferred Portfolio Requirements (Strongly Recommended) Candidates are encouraged to provide a portfolio showcasing relevant presentation design work. Strong candidates will include examples that demonstrate:

Client‑ready PowerPoint presentations (not just visual samples or one‑off slides).

Ability to design within different brand guidelines, including adapting to client‑specific styles (not just a single personal design style).

Data‑heavy slides, including charts, graphs, and insight‑driven storytelling.

Before‑and‑after examples showing how rough or unstructured content was transformed into polished deliverables.

Strong layout, visual hierarchy, and clarity of messaging.

Work that adheres to or builds upon brand guidelines or templates.

Compensation For the Temporary Presentation Designer, we offer a starting hourly pay range of $32.00–$36.00 based on the qualifications and experience of each individual. This is a temporary position, deemed non‑exempt for overtime purposes, and is subject to overtime compensation.

Equal Opportunity Employment Curion is committed to equal opportunity in the terms and conditions of employment for all employees and job applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity or gender expression, national origin, disability or veteran status.
