Job Details Key Responsibilities Lease Negotiation & Administration: Act as the primary liaison between tenants, in-house teams, legal counsel, and brokers to negotiate and prepare leases, renewals, extensions, subleases, and terminations. Operational Oversight: Manage build-outs and collaborate with architects on tenant concept plans; monitor broker marketing efforts to ensure accurate listings. Portfolio Management: Maintain a comprehensive leasing tracking database; coordinate with Property Management for move-ins/move-outs and unit "make-ready" status. Financial Coordination: Work closely with AR to track arrears; oversee CAM reconciliations, tax bill-backs, and monthly/quarterly utility billing. Application Processing: Manage the end-to-end application workflow, including background research, document verification, and timely status updates for prospective renters. Cross-Departmental Support: Provide backup support to the residential leasing department, assisting with apartment rentals and documentation as needed. Skills & Qualifications Experience: 2–3+ years of progressive commercial leasing experience within the NYC market. Technical Proficiency: Strong background in Yardi or similar real estate accounting software; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial lease language and the ability to manage complex negotiations independently. Financial Literacy: Experience with bookkeeping or real estate accounting (CAM and tax reconciliations) is highly preferred.
